My Story


“At some time in our lives and careers, we all face challenges and performance barriers, many times of our own making. I was inspired to study the field of Sport Psychology after overcoming my own personal life barriers.  As a result, I found a NEW purpose and passion for becoming the best version of “ME” and wanted to help others do the same.


As a Sport Psychology Consultant, I help athletes, non-athlete performers, business people, and serious fitness enthusiasts break through their obstacles to discover or rediscover strengths, abilities, competitive edge, confidence, and their mojo.”

Dr. Tamara Harris is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Sport Psychology Consultant who specializes in helping athletes overcome obstacles or mental blocks preventing them from reaching their peak performance. She also assists business individuals, exercise enthusiasts, and non-sport performers to reach and maintain optimal performance as they strive to meet their unique goals for success.


 She is also an active member of the American Counseling Association, Texas Counseling Association, Association for Applied Sport Psychology and the American Psychological Association.


Dr. Harris has a true passion for helping others discover their own unique strengths and abilities for the becoming the BEST version of themselves. Dr. Harris' inspiration and passion for becoming a Sport Psychology Consultant originates from rediscovering her own strengths and abilities as she gained resilience and bounced back from personal life challenges.


Dealing with adversity, Dr. Harris practiced self-care techniques that included  mindfulness through yoga and meditation. Additionally, she built strength, self-confidence and mental toughness by working with a personal trainer through a high intensity fitness training program on a consistent basis.


Along with rediscovering mental toughness and accomplishing various health,  fitness and nutrition goals, Dr. Harris recognized her passion for helping others discover their own talent, strengths and abilities for achieving personal greatness.
